The BID Board has applied to Mayor Garcetti’s People Street Program to develop two parklets within the Village at Sherman Oaks on Cedros South. A parklet expands the sidewalk into one or more on-street parking spaces to create people-oriented places. These two parklets would face each other and be on the East side of the street next to MidiCi’s and on the west side of the street next to Baja Fresh.
These would be the first of their kind in the San Fernando Valley. The parklets help create “people spaces” in our neighborhood and promote vibrancy and social interaction. More information about parklets can be found here.
